| Some of you may know what a Character Sheet is, some of you won’t. Some of you work with different kinds of Character Sheets and don’t know of this one yet. A Character Sheet is a short (or long, depends on what you like) description of your character. Most artists make one by hand and show off a character’s appearance that way. Of course you’re allowed to do with your Character Sheet as you please. If you prefer this version of a CS, then we’re not stopping you. However, a written one is pretty different from a drawn one.
What do you need to create a written application, you ask? First off, you need a name. You may or may not have one in mind already, since you have to use it to login. If you haven’t already, this is the perfect moment to pick one. You can either find a fitting name on sites like Behind The Name or you can come up with one of your own. Depending on the world you want to base your character on, and the creativity that swirls in your brains, you can pick a surname if you want. It’s optional, however, so don’t fret not having one.
Age, gender, race and personality are other important things for a CS. If you’re writing one instead of drawing, appearance is important too! A character’s history (what they did before they ended up where they are) and extra trivia are allowed, but not necessary. Any type of information you want to name can be put in a CS. This is to avoid forgetting something important of your character, but a CS serves a different purpose as well. Other users, fellow roleplayers, can check up on your character and learn about them. This can decided whether or not they want to roleplay with you, and, who knows, maybe you can brainstorm for a new plot together!
